So you want to know our story...
Hey, I'm Scarlett, I founded Freerider Co. back in 2017 after my cousin fell pregnant with her first baby. We struggled to find her products outside of the black and grey colour palette which made us both feel a little uninspired.
With a background in product development, I couldn't really understand why there wasn't an aspirational brand that combined current prints and trends into sustainable products made for parents. For baby clothing a giraffe print is great but my cousin wasn't super excited about that print being on a carrier that she would be wearing. I wondered, also being a girl in my mid twenties, were these going to be my choices too?
Becoming a mum doesn't change your style preference. At the time, with the options we had in front of us, this looked like it was absolutely going to be the case.
Since 2017, I've been on a mission to serve motherhood with a little more choice, personality and individual style so you have options to be you, in your own unique way.

Design
Design is our speciality. Every print you see on one of our carriers has started out from a hand drawn concept. We then work with a team of designers to bring it to life. We own all our prints so you won't see a Freerider Co. pattern anywhere else!

We select the most sustainable fabrics possible for our products.
It’s hard for the little guys to buy into the huge minimums that come with sourcing sustainable fabrics. Since the very beginning, we’ve been dedicated to researching and finding the best partners that support our vision. Where we aren’t able to make a product from 100% sustainable or recycled fabrics, we will always prioritise plant-based fibres as opposed to less natural, more environmentally intensive alternatives.
